-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.43
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 41.0.2
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Email Subject line:Paypal payment notification refused:wrong receiver
The money was sent to the wrong PayPal account, likely due to the customer trying to cheat.
Notification receiver: cgr****@****.com
Notification business: cgr****@****.com
Your paypal address: cgr****@****.com

Getting this message via email when an order is paid using paypal standard. This was an updated website from Joomla 2.5 /Hikashop 2.1 , where the PayPal configuration was working correctly. Other payment methods that went unchanged during update function correctly. Have already tried to re-install Hika 2.6.0, but still produces error.

The payments does go through to the correct PayPal account...and payment is received, however the payment notification states that it was refused! Is this issues due to the fact the Hikashop>Configuration>System>Emails admin are different then PayPal account email?

Hi,

CF : www.hikashop.com/forum/5-support-en-fran...-wrong-receiver.html

The problem comes from the configuration of your paypal payment method.
In the setting "Email" you should put your the email of your Paypal account but it looks like it's not the case.
That's why you have now that message because Paypal said that it send the money to an email which is not the email you configured.

That is not correct, as it worked before the update. I have also verified the spelling and the account as all correct.

Nothing was changed with the PayPal plugin during the update, as I assumed it would continue to work and did not realize there was and issue until we had multiple orders come through, with the customers saying it was "stalling out" on the trip to paypal. I did look into the plugin after the update, saw the info still stored, and did not do any testing before going live Sunday night.

Hi,

Please read my previous message.
The update added some new security checks and you facing one problem. That problem is related to your plugin configuration which is not correct.
So yes, before the plugin accepted that but now the plugin is warning you with a message ; because it is not something correct and the plugin now not accept it.

Again, all the setting in the plugin were confirmed to be correct.

Some more research into the clients email account shows that the PayPal account email (Buyer's Email) and the Customer Service email on the same PayPal account are different. This seems to be triggering the the error...

I don't know if there is a solution with the code base you could offer, or do you see the only solution is having those two email addresses changed within the PayPal account to match to use this payment plugin properly.

Thank you for your insight!

With the HikaShop Business 2.6.0 - PayPal Standard Plugin, after updating from 2.5 I had to stop using the PayPal "Buyer's Email" and switch it for the PayPal "Customer Service" email, and the problem was resolved. I wish this info was available on this website prior to this moment... but here it is in a simple statement.

I hope this will help others from wasting some of their time with other less helpful posting
