How-To: Make VirtualMerchant Actually Work

I have been racking my brain on trying to get VirtualMerchant to work with Hikashop and I finally have but it took a lot of testing and I hate this merchant with a passion.

I sent emails asking for documentation on this issue but they ignored me. Their customer, my client, also contacted them for help but they ignored them too. This is an incredibly awful merchant company so I hope I never have to deal with them again.

The problem I ran into is that once I entered the valid credentials into the plugin fields it insisted that I had provided invalid credentials. The plugin would never process anything and just provide the most useless error imaginable, "Invalid Credentials". Thanks Evalon/Converge, "super helpful".

Anyway, it turns out that VirtualMerchant has absolutely zero ability to process sandbox testing. I changed ONLY the sandbox and debug options to disabled, all of the sudden the plugin works.

Did I mention I hate VirtualMerchant/Evalon/Converge/whatever-crap-they-call-themselves-now?
