Paypal Pro not working with manager.paypal.com

-- HikaShop version -- : Essentials 2.6
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.5

My client wishes to recharge a credit card that has already been processed by the shopping cart in Paypal Pro. This is called "reference a transaction" with an extra button called "create a transaction" that is available only in the manage.paypal.com login area for all Paypal Pro users.

Paypal says that the Hikashop Paypal Pro plugin is only sending information to Paypal.com, and not "manage.paypal.com" so the plugin needs updating in order for "reference a transaction" to work.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get this to work?
