Please fill your credit card information loop?

Hello,

About to go live with a site and was testing and discovered an issue with checkout/payment. When I click "Finish" on the checkout page, I get a message that says "Please fill your credit card information" when I have chosen the credit card payment (Hikashop Credit card). I never see the credit card form to fill out. I have tried disabling shipping options and creating new payment method with Hikashop Credit card.

Forum search found the following but I checked workflow for "Payment" and switched templates to see if the CSS was an issue.

Thanks in advance

Hikashop 2.6.4 Business

Hi,

I would say that it's probably a javascript error on the page preventing HikaShop from displaying the credit card form.
Could you provide a link to the shop and the steps to reproduce in order to analyze the situation ?

Hi,

I'm not able to access your checkout on your website. Each time, I'm getting that error: take.ms/IvmIL
without even being about to see anything.
So I couldn't look at your problem.
It seems to be because you turned on the "force SSL on checkout" setting of the HikaShop configuration while you actually didn't configure first a SSL certificate for your domain name and make it work so that you could access your website with https.

Sorry, I turned the ssl off. was testing the setup. The real domain name is still in use so I have to use the testing URL,

Please look as soon as possible. this is a show stopper.

Thanks

Hi,

As expected, you indeed have a javascript error on the page:
take.ms/iT7mt
And if you look on the product page, you can see that the vote rating system isn't displayed properly either, for the same reason.
It actually comes from an old view override you have in your template.
Do that and it will work:

I changed the name of the vote directory and I no longer get the hikashop_ratings javascript error.

The checkout will still not progress to the credit card form...??? it still loops with the same message "Please fill your credit card information" What else can we try? I am stuck without this module functioning.

I can give you access to the admin if needed.

Any help is appriciated.

Hi,

It's seems to be related to the "auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" setting being turned off in the HikaShop configuration of your website.
Try turning on that option and it should help.

Also please note that you're using the "credit card" payment plugin which allows you to collect the credit card information of your customers. It won't process any payments automatically and it will be up to you to process the payments with your our payment terminal.
In most cases, that's not something you want as you want the payments to happen automatically and in that case, you need to integrate with a payment gateway like PayPal or Authorize.net which can also display the same credit card form on your checkout if you use PayPal Pro or Authorize.net in AIM mode.

I retested switching templates but I cleared my cache this time. The problem appears to be with the template that I am using.

Does anyone have any idea where to look in the template? Is it looking for a certain style?

Hope someone can help.

thanks

Hello,

It can be either be coming from a JavaScript issue or from a template views customization, so can you remove all your template views customization via "Hikashop->Display->Views" and test it again ?

Don't forget to backup your files customization before removing them.

Thank you.

That worked. it turned out to be the templates "payment.php" view. I removed it and the xml file for it and I am off to the races.

Now that I see the cc form, how do I change the number of digits? It only lets me put in 9 digits when most cards are 16 digits. Also, on the confirmation page of the checkout. the ccinfo is not formated properly. see attached picture.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

1. You will be able to enter 16 digits credit card numbers.
The only requirement is that the number is a valid credit card number.

2. I don't see the problem ? Besides the fact that you could a bit improve the display with CSS code the display looks valid.
