No Payment Notification for international purchases

-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox

Hi, I have had an issue since the 21st January with no payment notification for international purchases being received by Hikashop? I am getting UK notifications ok but for some unknown reason no international ones therefore the order statues are not being changed from 'created' to 'confirmed'

Any ideas please?

Hi,

I don't see why the payment notifications would be received for some countries and not for others.
So how did you configure your payment methods ? (could you do a screenshot) ?
Are they all using the same payment method ?
Are you able to reproduce the problem yourself ?
Did you get something in the "history" of the orders without the status change ?
If you turn on the debug setting of the payment method, it should add debug data in the payment log file of the HikaShop configuration after each payment. Do you get anything there for the orders without the status change ? What do you get ?

Hi, No its very strange? after further investigation it is not affecting USA or Ireland but just appears to be Europe?

Nothing showing from the debug.
Only PayPal has this error.
Cannot reproduce as it does not do it with UK payments.
History just shows 'created'
Not sure where to find the payment log file?

Attached is a screen dump of orders after my first post. You can see the 'created' one and this is from Denmark, payment has been received, all the rest are UK orders that have correctly changed to 'confirmed'

Hi,

The payment log file is available in the HikaShop configuration under the files section.
Also, if the IPN notification failed for an order you might be able to get some useful information from the IPN history in your PayPal merchant account. So I would recommend to check there to.

I'm not sure why you say you can't reproduce it because it works for UK payments ? Can't you just change the country of your address during the checkout in order to check for other countries ? You could make a payment of 1 £ for your test for example.

I am still getting the same issues with this despite a long time searching for a cure.

The only thing I can see that could be causing the issue is all the offending payments have non UK keyboard strokes i.e. (Frysjøenden) in either the name or address, could the be the issue? and if so how do I cure this?

Unfortunatelly no, this can't be able to leads to an notification issue.

For the other points, you have to understand that when we ask you some points to check, or ask for some configuration elements, we are expecting to get precise answer, otherwise help you will be difficult...

For the payment log : see this tutorial
For IPN history in your PayPal merchant account, did you as Nicolas told you, have some clues ?
Did you try to get some help from Paypal support (to be sure that the issue is "HikaShop side") ?
Did you process some test with Denmark address ?

Awaiting clear answer to theses points.

Yes I have done most of this, the latest failure is from Norway so this is not country specific.

In the payment log there are NO details for any of the failed payments, there is this though;

I have viewed failed IPN's and there appears to be nothing wrong and the status of the failed is 'sent'

I have spoken to PayPal and they say the fault is not on their side (but guess they would)

It's not Denmark specific but appears to just effect European countries and not the 'rest of the world'

Hello,

This error message "Could not load any order for your notification" means that for a reason or another it's impossible to load the order.
More clearly, Paypal sent the notification, that have to allow HikaShop to update order (created -> confirmed statuts).

"Could not load any order for your notification" must be follow by the order id, or it seems that there is nothing...
These criteria key name is "invoice" and must be sent by Paypal servers... If there nothing just for some order (link to customer country/currency) it's maybe because order notification change from these criteria ? Just a guess...

Can you switch ON your Debug mode and provide us (via Contact us form) the log file with succesful paypal order AND unsuccessful order.

You will find the debug mode for Paypal in his backend configuration, Specific configuration part.
See this tutorial for your Paypal plugin AND this one for payment log.

Note that you have here , documentation on lots of subject around HikaShop configuration.
