Bank Transfer plugin - configuration notification

-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5

Hello,

Could you please explain the function of the 'order status notification' under 'specific configurations' for Bank Transfer?

It is currently set to NO. The client will still receive the bank details with the email notifications? I am sure we tested and it showed on the screen and appeared in the email notification. The shop is up and running and my client just saw the status set to know and asked the question. The filed is not covered in your user documentation.

Hi,

That option allows HikaShop to send an email notification when the order status is changed by the plugin with the option above where you can select the order status to change the order to when an order is created with that payment method selected.
Thus, you still get the "order creation notification", no matter what, and you don't see any difference if you don't select another status in the option above than the default order status of orders.

May as well leave it as is...

Correct me if I am wrong... You can just change the order status in the order panel (to for example confirmed) and choose to notify customer anyway...

Hi,

Yes. As the "order status" option documentation explains, it's useful when you want to change the status of orders made with that payment method in an intermediate status like "waiting".
And if you do that and have the "order creation notification" email deactivated, the customer wouldn't be notified normally, which is why you can activate the email notification when the plugin automatically change the status to "waiting" so that customers don't end up without any email for their orders made with that payment method.
