-- HikaShop version -- : 4.2.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.16
-- PHP version -- : 7.2

I'm looking for some insight and hope you can help. We have entered the proper credentials in our payment plugin however when we test a live transaction, it is always 'canceled' and doesn't go through. The Payment Processor tells me that my test transactions have not hit the gateway endpoint.

The Payment Processor also tested the credentials on their end to verify that they were correct and was able to process a successful transaction in Postman against the API production credentials.

However, when they test the credentials on our Hikashop install, the Postman responds with result code (12) and an 'Invalid Trans (Decline) is returned from the Payment Processor gateway.

They recommend that I reach out to you to help identify exactly what that response indicates that was received from my test transactions.

Thank you

Hi,

This error indicates that there is some problem in the payroc payment plugin you're using.
As we didn't develop it, we don't know how that payment plugin works.
I actually have never heard of that payment plugin, and couldn't find any reference to it online.
So I don't know how you got that payment plugin but you need to contact the person from which you got that plugin.

Any thoughts on what AVS means? In addition to the plugin, I suppose it could point to a problem with the API, the credentials, their permissions, etc.?

Hi,

It's this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Address_Verification_System
Regarding the details of the issue, I don't know more than you. It could be pretty much anything since the message is quite vague.
Maybe you could check with the merchant support of your payment gateway ? They should be able to look into the reason of the failure if you give them the PNREF I suppose.
