Hello Hika Team

I am testing your shop component and will probably end up buying it.

I ran into a problem whilst attempting to Customise the categories listing.
(Hikashop / Configuration / Display) and manage the general display options of HikaShop.
I believe that under Modules main default options/Type of layout I switched from

div

to

table

and got the following error:

1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=SELECT cat.description FROM #__categories cat WHERE cat.id=

I am testing here at the URL above but....

...if you want to need to look I will have to give you an admin password.

Not sure how that works exactly here!

If you have any ideas what is going on here I would love to know?

So far every thing has worked pretty good. B)

thanks in advance

Paul

Hi,

There is no such MySQL query in HikaShop.
It must come from something else on your website, like a third party plugin or some customization.
I would recommend to turn on the "debug mode" and "error reporting" settings of the joomla configuration and see if you get more information on the error, which might help you find where the error is coming from.
Otherwise, you might have to disable the hikashop and system plugins one by one via the Joomla plugins manager in order to find which could be doing that.

Hi Nicolas

Thanks for your response.
Ok I think I got it.
I did as you suggested:

The first error happens here:

www.finalbug.net/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing

Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/finalbug/public_html/plugins/system/SEOSimple/SEOSimple.php on line 24

This is one step before I got the MySQL error!
So I switched off SEOSimple and went to the page that was previously broken.

www.finalbug.net/hikashop-menu-for-categ...15-lms-training-here

And now every thing seems to be fine.

If you have any further thoughts I am curious?

So I guess there is no SEOSimple for me any more.

all the best

Paul

ps: I am working my way through the documentation and also played with the SEF URL options before checking out the the categories listing. Maybe that was a factor!
