Affiliate link works even if the url ends with #something ?

Hello,
I was wondering if affiliate links will work even in case of urls like this:

accademiainfinita.it/blog#ixzz5JNCLqAwq

affiliates that share the page woudl just add their id like this

accademiainfinita.it/blog#ixzz5JNCLqAwq?aff=123

or woudl they need to delete the #ixzz5JNCLqAwq first?

Hi,

They can add their id to that URL and it will work.
However, that's not the correct way to add it.
It needs to be added like that:
accademiainfinita.it/blog?aff=123#ixzz5JNCLqAwq
Otherwise, that's not a valid URL.
