Cart is been cleaned when order is "created" and not "confirmed"

Hello,
when placing an order with the offline payment method the cart is being cleaned as soon as the order is "created",
while in backend I set it to be cleaned when the order is "confirmed"

Sorry,
I always test with latest versions both for Hikashop and Joomla
in this case Hika 3.5.1 - Joomla 3.8.10

Can you precise which payment method do you use I didn't recognize it...
Did you try to process some test with another payment method ?
If it's work with another payment method don't forget to precise which one it is.
If the issue is still here for all payment method, can you provide your order statuses configuration page.

The issue arises ONLY with "offline" payment method (HikaShop bank transfer payment plugin)

When testing with Bank transfer payment method, the cart is being cleaned as soon as the order is "created"
When testing with Paypal payment method, the cart IS NOT cleaned if the payment is"created" but not "completed" after being redirected to Paypal

Hello,

Can you try to remove the "Cancelllable" value on the Created status, what was your idea when you define this ?
I suspect a misunderstood.
Process some tests and make us a report.

Tested. Removing "cancellable" doesn't solve.
I had it activated because I wanted to give users the possibility to cancel their order via the dashboard after they create them, but it's not big deal, I could just keep it switched off... only it doesn't really solve the issue.

Hello,

Ok there is some misunderstood from my side, the bank transfer create an order and store it in your define order status define in his specific settings, and when Customer click on finish it automatically clean the cart and mute it in created order (understand state of waiting till you received the bank transfer).

Note : that your customer can access his order created with Bank transfer, in his user account :



And so basically from my point of view everything is quite normal and works as expected, now as it's clear that don't match your needs can you precise them, to see if we can suggest another way to config your website or another payment plugin.

Isee,
it's just that sometimes customers choose the bank transfer payment method, the don't pay and go looking for the cart module again days later and can't find it (because infact has been cleared) - going to shop dashboard > orders it's just too much effort for many B)
But its not really a big deal, it doesn't happen much.
Maybe it would be more usable if the cart is being cleared only when the order is "completed"... but again, not really a big deal.
