Hi.
I have a problem. I need to hide products from the main catalogue menu so that they appear only in subcategories. I tried different options with display within the menu, even have erased the root category (in Ukrainian "Каталог товарів") from each product, but nothing seems to have worked. Products still continue to pop up in this menu type. Could you please help me to find resolution?

Hi,

In the settings of the menu item, under the "products options" tab, make sure that the "sub element filter" is set to "direct sub elements" so that it only displays the products directly linked to the current category and not the products of the children categories of the current category.
Then, if your products are only in their direct categories and not in the main category it should display like you want.

Thank you, it helped. I have one more question. There something wrong in how Falang language switcher is working with Hika Shop. By that I mean that, when the customer wants to switch language at the product page, he is redirected to the category page. How can I fix that?

Hi,

I think this indicates that the current menu item is not configured to display for all the languages. Because of that Falang has to switch to another menu item linked to the current menu item for the target language. And since it switches the menu item, it uses the main page of the new menu item.
So if that's indeed the case, you need to change your menu item to "all languages" and instead translate the menu item elements via the Falang interface. That way, it will be able to stay on the same menu item and hopefully it shouldn't loose the product page.
