Related products take user to homepage

As the title says, users clicking on a related product are taken to the site homepage rather than the item. It looks like the URL of the related product link is missing the page/category name.

For example, the expected link https://www.diykeyboards.com/cases/product/76-dactyl-manuform

is instead rendered as: https://www.diykeyboards.com/product/76-dactyl-manuform

Update: OK so I think what's happening is that the product is being called just fine. However, the page loads using the homepage template, which has no content output and lots of unneeded modules.

The homepage template is not the default template. How can I specify which template gets loaded when these products are opened?

If there is a way to do this properly within Hikashop, I couldn't find it.

I solved the issue by using the Chameleon plugin to assign the default templates to anything generated by the Hikashop component. IMO, this is a hacky move, but it does work. Also, the plugin is not free, at $30 USD.
