Hi again. As you can see on the link I've provided, I have used the "option" element for my product. I wonder if, since the option itself is a product with its own image/description, there is a way I can display the product picture, too, not just the title + price with it... I don't want to use characteristics because there's MANY, many options for the products... And the client could even have a hard time understanding the concept of it all, too. So I'd like to make multiple choices as simple as possible. I feel like it could work with the options if it displayed the picture as well. Basically, what I want is to have some extra "specifications" that the visitor can choose to include in the product. Suggestions?

Hi,

You can't have images in dropdowns. And there is no option or easy way to display the option image next to it either.
However, if you add that image in a Joomla article, you can enter the URL to that Joomla article in the "brand URL" of the product that you'll use as option and the name of the product will be clickable and open a popup with the Joomla article in it.

I want to create something similar to this

This message contains confidential information
look. With options, I'm guessing. But it seems like there isn't an easy way to do that because the product has multiple choices in it that separately add to the price depending on which one is selected. So I'm assuming that doesn't leave me with any options. Only characteristics?

Hi,

What you can try is to change the option "Product selection method" to "radio" in the HikaShop configuration.
That will display the option selectors as radio buttons instead of dropdowns on your website.
Then, since it's a dropdown, you can use the variant name to inject an image for each variant. I don't think you can directly write HTML code in the name of the variants, but you can enter a translation key for it, and add HTML code in the translation override for that key.
It's a bit of tinkering with the way it works, but it should do it.

I added an "img" code in the name of each product (option) and it worked like a charm. I'll see if I can continue with this way. So far so good. Thank you for your help!
