Standard Joomla Custom Module on Product Listing and Product Details pages

Using Hikashop for the first time and so far, so good. However, I've come up against a frustrating issue, but I'm sure there's a simple solution:

• I'd like to add some introductory text at the top of the product listing page. Naturally, I did this through a custom module and assigned it only to the product listing page.
• however, this module also appears on the individual product and checkout pages as well.

Your issue is coming from the fact that when you access to a product page through a defined product listing menu, then the item_id that will be set on that product page will be the one of the product listing menu. So joomla menu restriction's option won't differentiate these 2 pages.

Using that kind of extension will probably do the job in your case :

Else, another solution will be to directly use the "Display view files" option via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Advanced" to find the file you'll have to edit to add your custom code and properly adapt it so that it will only be displayed for that menu.
