Hello!

Is it possible for a hikashop content module to display the best sellers of one category at a time?
For example, when i enter Category 1 it would display all best sellers from Category 1.
When i enter Category 2 it would display all best sellers from Category 2 etc.
Instead of displaying best sellers from all the categories.

Thank you

Hi,

Yes. activate the "synchronize" setting of the module via the Joomla modules manager, and instead of using the "main category" selected in that setting page, it will use the current category.

Hi,

Thank you nicolas that almost worked but no quite, in products listing page the module still displays products from all categories but in product page it works correctly. Why is that?

Hi,

This will work on the listings.
On the product page, it displays the products based on the "relation" setting when the synchronize option is activated.
If you don't see the module using the current category, I can think of two issues:
- the module is displayed before the main area, which should normally not happen
- caching of the module on the listing page, preventing you from seeing the real listing of products of the module

Hi,

Yes. We'll also need a FTP access for this one.

Hi,

Thanks. I found the issue. Synchronized modules would use the main category of the module itself instead of the main category of the current menu item when the current menu item would be a category / product listing menu item and the page would be the default page of the menu item (not a sub category products listing, or a product page)
I've added a patch on your website and it seems to fix the problem.
We'll add that patch for the next version of HikaShop.
