-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Google search console
I received a notice from the Google Search console on several Hikashop website I manage.
I realize this may have nothing to do with Hikashop, but I am hoping others have had to deal with it and may clarify some things for us.
This is what google search console says:
Top Warnings
Warnings are suggestions for improvement. Some warnings can affect your appearance on Search; some might be reclassified as errors in the future. The following warnings were found on your site:
Missing field "sku"
Missing field "url"
Missing field "priceValidUntil"
No global identifier provided (e.g., gtin, mpn, isbn)
Missing field "brand"
We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.
Does the above have anything to do with Hikashop? So far I wasn't able to find how Google Console wants that information presented to them. For instance, Hikashop doesn't have a UPC (or "global identifier" as they call it) field. Even if I created my own, I don't know what formatting it needs and we are currently not using UPC codes (and I suspect many smaller vendors may not have them either).
Another obscure thing is the "Missing field url" notice. Shouldn't Console just look at the product page URL and call it a day? Where am I putting that so Google Console can read it?
I am incredibly confused in this regard and I'd appreciate any help. All I have found so far sort of assumes some sort of prior knowledge I likely do not have.
Thank you
