Why is there a "Retail price" and also another place to add prices?

Hi,

Just wondering why there's a retail price box AND another price box? If I enter a price in the retail price box but not in the other place, I get the word "free" on the product page. Seems a little silly to have both, and since this is a multi vendor marketplace, dangerous if they put their pricing in the wrong place!

Is there some way to just have ONE place where you put in the price? Some sort of override? I only need one price per product.

Thanks.

Hi,

The "retail price" is the MSRP. So it's just indicative. In HikaMarket's Vendor Accesses settings, you can configure it to choose which option you want to display / remove on the product edit form of the frontend :
So there, you want to disable the "msrp" option:

Hi,

I've done that already, but it still shows on the product page.

This is confusing for vendors, and if they put the price in the wrong place, it's going to show up as free on the frontend. How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Hello,

As a suggestion, maybe you can use some Css in order to "hide" it from your vendor ?
In details, you can build a restricted Css command (only on the required page) in order to fit your needs.
Ex :
.specific_page_class_or_id .your_html_element_class_to_hide {
// Your css command
display: none;
}

Note : Have a look on this tutorial to see how to process to add your own custom css command (for frontend & backend).

hope this can meet your needs.
Regards

I could... but it would be a lot easier if I could just do this from the backend?

I am sure I am not the only person who doesn't need or want this?

Hello,

You can remove the right to edit the "msrp" for your vendors ; so they won't fill a field which is not useful for you.
