-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.2022sscanational.com/index.php/shopp...cart2/checkout/cid-3
-- HikaShop version -- : 4.4.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3x
-- PHP version -- : 7.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome current

I created a custom field for the product. The name of the field is, 'Sponsorship Information' and it is in the Product Table. I want the purchaser to be able to add this information at checkout so it will be available to our staff when we fulfill the order. This is similar to selecting the text someone might want on a t-shirt.

When the User selects the item and adds it to the cart, there's no place to enter the sponsorship information.

I have tried several methods and searched forums but have not found a solution. Please help.

Hi,

You need to create instead a custom field of the table "item" (it will appear on the product details page) or of the table "order" (it will appear on the checkout)

I added the field as you can see in the attached image. I added the custom field to the "Item" table but it is not showing up at checkout. What do I do? I would be happy to give you credentials to look at this.

I'm 68 and really working at this but need your help.

Thank you!

Bruce

Hi,

As I said in my previous message, a custom field of the table "item" will appear on the product details page, not on the checkout.
You can see it there:

And if you fill it, you can then see what you entered below the name of the product on the checkout:

If you want the input field to appear on the checkout, you need to create instead a custom field of the table "order".
