Hi

I have made a custom field where I upload the products OG Image and made and override to get this shown in the code for the product.
But since these images are placed in the SAFE folder of HikasShop I can't access the images on the front end ...

Any ideas on how to solved this issue?

Regards
Thomas

Hi,

Supposing that you don't use Files available to the customer after purchasing products, or custom item upload fields, you could edit the htaccess in the safe folder to allow access to the files in it.
Here is a subject with a similar problematic:

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.
I actually looked into it already but it's not easy to add.
The AJAX file/image types of custom fields rely on the generic uploader mechanism in HikaShop. However, the uploader doesn't have the knoweldge of the custom field settings when handling the file being uploaded.
So it would require some complex modifications here and there to make it possible to set the path in each custom field. That's why I put that in the back burner for now.

Was thinking ...
I don't need to be able to set an upload path, but perhaps there can be 2 versions of Custom Image Fields.
One that uploads to SAFE and another that uploads to the non-secure path?

Hi,

That's a good idea.
We'll think about it.
Thanks for the input.
