Dear Hikashop!

I would like to create an instructional video virtual product in the online store. This video cannot be downloaded, but can be viewed in the web store. Can I do this? If so, what settings should I provide?

Hi,

You could configure a page to be able to view this video.
For example, it could be a Joomla article page with a content tag for video display:
extensions.joomla.org/tags/video-players-gallery/
And around the video, you could use HikaShop content tags like so:

{hkshow bought="XX"}
tags for the display of the video in the Joomla article
{/hkshow}
where XX is the id of a product you've created in HikaShop.
That way, when someone access this article page, HikaShop will replace this tags and either remove everything inside if the current user didn't bought the product, or leave the content if he did.

You can read more about hkshow and hkhide content tags here:

Dear Nicolas!

I do not understand. I made the virtual product and also made the joomla article with the hikashop tags, like this: {hkshow bought="221"}
tags for the display of the video in the Joomla article
{/hkshow}

I made a test order and set the order to Confirmed status. Then the link of the virtual product was sent by the online store, but the text between hikashop members cannot be read in the article. What am I doing wrong? What am I getting wrong?

Hi,

The user looking at the Joomla article needs to be logged in with the user account who made the purchase for him to see the content inside the tags.
If the user has been logged out since the purchase, or you're using another browser than the one you used for the purchase, or you actually configured the checkout to allow for guest purchases, then HikaShop won't be able to identify the user and thus can't match him to the purchase.
