hide characteristic product listing

Hi guys
In my product listing some products have characteristic i.e.size and some not. Now I have the issue, that in this case the table for the product listing is not proper.

Is it possible to hide the characteristics in the product listings? I was not able to find the right option. I dont need the this option because I don
t like how it is displayed in the tabel.
