Don't understand the manual shipping plugin :(

So im looking at the different shipping plugins and I understand those that have a company associated with them like UPS. I dont live in the US so I dont think that would be a good option, and we deliver some items ourselves as well so I look at the manual shipping plugin and dont understand what it does.

and it seems like its just I who set the price..
so if the customer chooses this, what happens? Do we get an email and then fix the shipping ourselves?

Hi,
Sure you'll be the one who will set the shipping price regarding the situation (your customer shipping address/his order weight/...) , you'll find more information about the manual shipping restriction options there .

So lets say I create a custom shipping method, what happens after the costumer choses that one? (if he/her filled in all the fields correctly)

They will just have to pay for the shipping price that you have set through their order, and then you'll just have to send the products to your customer.
Note that you can name/describe you shipping method like you want to, so you'll be able to give some precision to your customer about how you'll send their goods.

Sure, you'll just have to use the "use price per product" option of your shipping method, and set different shipping price through the shipping price tab of each product page.

Ok great. That is very unpractical, but now I know it can be done alteast.

But Mohammed what then would happen if a customer wants to order more than one product at a time? Maybe more than 10 products? how do hikashop add the different weights together..?

I didn't exactly understood your question but I'll try to answer :
1. If you are using the shipping price per product method, every product's shipping price will be added to your customer final shipping price.
2. Your shipping method will be selected regarding the final weight of your order, so it will be the same thing if you buy 1 or 10 products.
