Free domestic shipping only

Hello, on my client website, we are using the Australia Post shipping plugin. My client is asking can we setup the shipping so that a domestic, Australian customer has Free Shipping and the overseas customers have to pay either the AustPost sea or air freight shipping charge.

Can the plugin be configured to do this?

Sure, you'll just have to use 2 different shipping methods :
- one australia post shipping method for your international customers.
- one free manual shipping method for your customers from australia.
note that you'll have to use the "zone" restriction option of your shipping methods.

Hi thanks for that. Did you know, your suggestion is exactly what I have tried but I couldn't quite get it to work. It's probably a fairly simple configuration issue on my part.

At the moment, domestic customers are still being charged freight. The international customers are seeing the "Free delivery within Australia" option plus the usual sea and airfreight options.

The problem was coming from the way you configured the "zone" option restriction, I've set the zone restriction of :
1. your free/manual shipping method to "Australia"
2. your Australia post shipping method to "Overseas"

Note that you'll have to add ALL countries into your "Overseas" but Australia.
