Hi,

Maybe you didn't set a weight in your products and the "force shipping regardless of weight" option is turned off in the configuration ?

I'm having the same sort of problem. I have Hikashop v2.3.0 /Joomla 2.5.19

The first problem I had was the next button. It was driving me crazy. When you went to checkout you had the addresses and a next button. But underneath the next button you had shipping choices and payment choices. I have no idea how anyone figured out how to place 1 of the only 2 orders that have been successfully completed on the cart. I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get rid of the next button so it is a one page checkout. I have no idea how I got rid of the next button but after messing around with settings and setting combinations for hours it was gone. But so were my UPS and USPS shipping options. Now the only option under shipping is free pickup. No other options.

I would be more than happy to pay someone for an hour of their time to properly configure my checkout. As I have spent days on this problem I think it would be a lot smarter just to pay someone that knows how to setup the checkout. HELP

The other really annoying function is when you click the proceed to checkout button it still shows up on the top of the checkout page. Some people fill out the billing and shipping info and then click that damn button again and they start over. How do you get rid of that button and the cart at the top of the page once you are in the checkout process?

Hi,

If you could simply post a screenshot of your USPS/UPS shipping methods settings (blurring the sensitive data) and then providing the error message displayed on the checkout with the "free pickup" shipping method deactivated, we could probably tell you what is the problem.

Regarding the "proceed to checkout" button, it will only display if you fill the "proceed to checkout button URL" option of the configuration. Leave it empty and you won't see it there.

Okay...It wasn't in the configuration. It was a module I had created and put on that page. I deselected it and the proceed to checkout disappeared.

I did figure out how to create the multiple page checkout process by just guessing I could delete modules or drag them into the empty field on the checkout page. However...one step forward...two steps back. Now, not only do I not even get to the shipping page, the system won't take the addresses I input.

See the attached pics. I changed the checkout process to force the addresses on the first page of checkout only. After inputting my billing and shipping addresses as you can see on the next screen it does not take the addresses. It clears the fields and asks me to create an address. So now I can't even get to the shipping options or payment options.

Hi,

You need to click on the "tick" icon in order to validate the address BEFORE clicking on the "next" button.
Normally, such case should not happen as a the user should already have an address he filled when registering.
Try with a new user and you'll see that it works fine by default.
