free shipping on 1 product

is there a way to have a free shipping only on one product or only on one category of products?
It would be good also if it would be possible to have a coupon to have the free shipping on one category of the product.

Or enable the option to use price per product, and set the shipping method as free in the desired product edition page.

Sorry, there is no limitation on categories.
For the price per product, you have to enable the option in the shipping method.
Then, in the product edition page, in the "shipping prices" part, click on "+" to add a price on the desired shipping method and set the price on "0".

i suppose there is something missing me because i have enabled the "price per product" on a new shipping method free by set "yes" on "Use price per product".
But after that all of my products are shipping free !!!

Two products in cart, one common product and one without shipping fees. Should the shipping fees be applied on one of the two products, or shall the whole cart be without shipping fees ?

If in the shipping method, you set a value, for example $3, for the option "Price" and enable "Use price per product" and set "-3$" in the product edition page of the desired product, so the whole cart we be shipping fees less.

If you set $3 for the option "Price per product" after enabling "Use price per product" and set "$0" in the product edition page, so the shipping fees will be equal to "$3", or "$6" if you have two times the product without shipping fees.

Do you see what we are asking ?

It is difficult for me to understand your example, but if i understood well i think that what i like is impossible.
I'll try to explain my issue better.
I have 63 shipping methods because i use 2 couriers and i have the shipping price changing dependig on the weight and on the post code.
I'd like to sell, just for a weekend, only some product of the same category without shipping cost.
If the customer buy only one free shipping product the price of the shipping is zero.
if the customer buy one free shipping product ( first one) and one product with shipping cost (second one) the amount of the shipping is only for the second one.
So if i understand well what you explained me i have to modifying all of my 63 shipping methods and all of my 138 products!
Because if i enable the "use price per product" on a new shipping method i have to use the price per product on all my 138 product edition page.
And that just for one weekend, After that, i have to modifying all again!

And i'm going to explain better.
I have 63 shipping methods and i can't modify them.
So i created a new one called "shipping free".
On "shipping free" i set "use price per product" on yes and "Price per product" is empty.
Without modifying any product, when i enable the "shipping free" method i have all the products on sale for free shipping. But i like only one product for free shipping. If you buy the other products you have to pay the shipping fees with the other 63 shipping methods.
What is the solution, please?

The problems are two: you don't understand me and i 'm not be able to explain you.
I did not change my required. I liked always the same thing.
I have simply adapted my require to your solution. It was your solutions that changed.

I have 138 products and 63 shipping method.
My shipping methods vary depending on the weight of items and zip code. The customer can also choose between different couriers.
I make a promotional sale for only a category of products.
I'd like a simply solution to have only a category of product free of shipping cost.
So if you buy one or two or three product of the promoted category you don't pay the shipping cost.
If you buy all the other products of the other categories you pay the shipping cost.
If you buy one or two or three products of the promotional product category and just one product of the other NO promoted you pay the shipping cost only for the NO promoted product.

The simpliest way to do that is a shipping method restricted to only a category of products; but Xavier said that it is not possible ( maybe you can add it on your TODO list!)
The other way proposed to me was " shipping price for product" and here come misunderstanding problems.
So before you give me your solution, please ask me what is not clear or tell me if you have some doubts on what i explain.
When you are sure to undestand me, please, tel me if there is a solution and what is.

yes that could be a solution.
It needs to modify the warehouse on all the products on promotional sale and after the promotional end it needs to come back to the previous wharehouse; but i works!
If it is the only solution possible i'm going to use that.
