Client is shipping product from 6 different Tech Data Warehouses across the country. FedEx Shipping Module. Programmer and I reviewed documentation at www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...-shipping-fedex-form . It states "This method includes a warehouse management in order to allow you to shipping from different locations." Specifically how do we accomplish this. We reviewed Warehouse Method but there aren't fields for address of warehouse. We only see 1 entry for address of the warehouse in Fed Ex Module. Do we create zones?

Hi,

The fedex plugin does not include a warehouse management, the UPS was.
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/i...ipping-ups-form.html
I think that the UPS documentation page was used to create the Fedex one and they forgot to remove that part.
I fixed the Fedex documentation page.

But HikaShop have a warehouse system.
It a different than the UPS warehouse system. You can create warehouses in HikaShop and assign a product to a warehouse.
Thanks to the plugin instance system, you can create several fedex configuration where each instance will have a different origin (different address, city, state, etc). Each instance can be affected to a specific warehouse, allowing you to have several points of expedition (but a product can be only in one single warehouse).

Interested in purchasing all of the editions of HikaShop / Market but need to make sure functionality we need is possible:

We want to have multi vendor setup and need to calculate shipping based on vendor address and customer address for each product using FedEx?

I see that multi-warehouse feature is available but its not clear if it works with Fedex and if its automatically created based on vendor address?

I appreciate it if you could clarify this for me.

Thanks.

Hello,

We want to have multi vendor setup and need to calculate shipping based on vendor address and customer address for each product using FedEx?

To do that, the solution will be to create one FedEx shipping method per vendor, and set the address on the FedEx configuration page to our vendor address.

I see that multi-warehouse feature is available but its not clear if it works with Fedex and if its automatically created based on vendor address?

The FedEx shipping methods won't be automatically created based on your vendor address, you'll have to do it manually.
If you absolutely want it, you'll have to develop it, but some developer skills will be required.

Hello,
The options that you'll have to use to create different FedEx shipping method per vendor regarding their address will be :

Company : Sender company name.
Telephone : Sender telephone number.
Address : Sender Address
City : Sender city
State : Sender state
Country : Sender country
Post code : Sender post code

I purchased Biz version of HikaShop and HikaMarket and am setting up shipping via FedEx.

On product level I can assign Warehouse.
In FedEx plugin I see I can assign Warehouse after enabling Restrictions.

Is that all that needs to be done?

Also in another post I read....

There is an option in HikaMarket use "shipping per vendor" ; at this moment HikaMarket will create virtual warehouses for the vendors and the customer will have to choose one shipping method per vendor in his cart.

I have not see any Warehouses created when i created the Vendor? I had to go in and manually add them.

Thanks again for the help.

Hi,

When you are using the option "shipping per vendor" in HikaMarket, it will create "virtual" warehouses for the vendors.
Thanks to that it will allow HikaMarket to split the products into different groups.

If the product have a warehouse like "warehouse X", HikaMarket will create a virtual warehouse like "warehouse X of vendor Y".
There is no need to create a warehouse for a specific vendor.

In the shipping plugin configuration, you can link a shipping method to a warehouse and you can also link a shipping method to a vendor.
If you link the shipping method to "warehouse X", HikaShop could use the shipping method for all duplication of the warehouse X for the different vendors.
If you link the shipping method to "vendor Y", HikaShop could use the shipping method for all warehouses of the targeted vendor.
If you use both restriction in the same time, it will target the specific warehouse of the specific vendor.
