The manual shipping plugin works for US zipcodes with 5 digits, but the Zip+4 format (XXXXX-XXXX) fails. Is there a way to accomodate both types of zip codes?

Hi,

Manual shipping methods will display regardless of the zip code format of the customers so I'm not sure what you're talking about ?

I am using ranges of zip codes for each shipping method so they only show up with a zip in that particular range. The xxxxx-xxxx format is not recognized as being in the range.

Hi,

The xxxxx-xxxx format is not a problem for our shipping system.
If it doesn't find a shipping method available for your zip code, it means that there is no shipping method for the range of the zip code.
Not that if you allow for 9 digits zip codes, you need 9 digits zip code ranges. So I guess that you didn't configure manual shipping methods with 9 digit ranges in your shipping methods which is why you think that it doesn't work.

Are two separate shipping methods required?

E.g. 12345 to 23456, and 12345-0000 to 23456-9999

Or can they be combined into one: 12345 to 23456-9999?

Hi,

Range of zip code ?
Please provide a screenshot of your configuration, I am afraid that there are something wrong in it ; because there is no range, they are min and max options.

Yes, a "range" means the use of the min and max fields as intended.

Min: 12345
Max: 23456

What format is required in the Min and Max fields to accommodate 9 digit zip codes? Like the following?

Min: 12345-0000
Max: 23456-9999

Or could one shipping method suffice?

Min: 12345
Max: 23456-9999

Hello,
Actually with the minimum/maximum post code options you'll only be able to restrict the first part of the post code of your customer's shipping address (123456 / 23456).
In your case, if you want these options to do what you want you'll have to directly edit the Hikashop code, but some development skills will be required.
