Special Shipping Rules

-- url of the page with the problem -- : rancholiquoronline.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.4

I've set up my cart so that it activates free shipping if the user places at least $100 worth of merchandise in their shopping cart. Problem is, my client wants to limit the items to less than 3, and regular shipping if there are 3 items or more. The rules seem to work fine if there is one restriction, but stops working when I place in the second restriction. Here is the logic for my shipping rules.

1. Maximum $100 (regular shipping)
2. Minimum $100. Maximum 2 items. (free shipping)
3. Minimum #100. Minimum 3 items. (regular shipping)

Is this a bug? Is there a workaround that can get this to work?

Hi,

This seems correct.
Please provide screenshot of your shipping methods settings so that we can check them.

The problem has evolved, now the only rule recognized is the Free Shipping rule. I've taken out the Quantity requirements and only left the following shipping logic.

1. Maximum $100 (UPS)
2. Minimum $100 (Free)

If I disable the Free Shipping method, Hikashop says there is no available shipping method, even though the UPS method is published. I deleted the UPS rule and recreated it. I went into MySQL to verify that the rule is actually there and published.

Edit:
I called UPS, and they said that even if my client's UPS information was not connecting correctly, the retail prices should still come through instead of the negotiated merchant's price.

Now I've removed the maximum restriction for UPS and set it to just a minimum of $1.00, still nothing.

Hi,

Did you set a weight for all the products in the cart ?
If not, it could be the reason why it doesn't work properly.

Yes, all products have weight. We have adjusted several times with the Mass Action and currently all products have a weight of 1.000.

Just discovered that shipping is only broken for guests, but it works perfectly for logged in customers. However, the client insists that guests be able to checkout.

Hi,

First, can you please try to re-download HikaShop 2.4.0 ; we just include some patches that we provide in other thread about the shipping.
(like this one : www.hikashop.com/forum/install-update/87...-upgrade.html#198519 )
By downloading the latest package, you will retrieve some recent patches ; it will be easier for you that applying these patches manually.

About shipping for guests ; I don't know if you're talking about "guest checkout" or checkout when you are not log-in.
Because plugins like UPS requires an address to be able to provide shipping quotes ; without an address to know where to ship the products to, the plugin won't provide anything.

OK, got it resolved, and this feels kind of obvious, but here goes. I had address input and shipping options on the same page. I moved shipping options to the page following the address input and suddenly everything works. Shocking. lol

Thanks guys!

Hello,
You should :
1.
Set the "Include virtual products price" option to YES through your shipping methods configuration page.
2.
Create another shipping method with a free price and the "Minimum Price" option set to 365
