Shipping costs not updating by weight

Hello,

we've got a big problem on our site related to the shipping methods.

We currently got two shipping methods depending on the weight of the total order:

up to 1.5 kg: 4,40 €
1.5 kg to 30 kg: 7,25 €

So here's the scenario when this weird behavior occurs:

1. Put a product with less than 1.5 kg in the basket.
2. Go to the basket. Everything is fine. You will see that the shipping method for packages with up to 1.5 kg is preselected and correctly added (4,40€) to the total of amount.
3. Now go back to the Sortiment listing and add a product to the basket which will exceed the first limit of 1.5 kg.

So now you're over that 1.5 kg limit and your shipping cost should now be 7,25 €.

4. When you're going to the basket, you will notice that it neither preselected the higher shipping cost checkbox, nor did the shipping price update - it still says 4,40 € which is not correct at all.

Now, we won't keep the selection above the actual basket. So our question is:

What can we do so that the correct shipping method is always preselected and the correct shipping costs depending on the weight is added to the total amount?

Any help is appreciated. I also attached some screen shots of our configuration.

- "Auto select default shipping and payment methods" option set to YES
- "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option set to YES
Via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".

As you can see on one of the screens, these options are both set to "YES".

What I'd really like to know if this bug effects all HikaShop users or just us.

Any ideas?

I actually don't have that issue when I directly test it on my end with the "Auto select default shipping and payment methods" and the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option set to YES.
Can you give me a temporary back-end access so that I can directly test it ?

You can easily reproduce the bug, even in a fresh install. That's what I did to exclude a fault on our end.
So what I did is install HikaShop on another server and did the exact same thing.

Shipping costs:
up to 1.5 kg: 4,40 €
1.5 kg to 30 kg: 7,25 €

As soon as I exceed the threshold of 1.5 kg by adding more items through the listing, the shipping cost in the basket stays at 4,40 €, which is wrong.
Only when manually updating the number of items in the basket, the shipping cost will update to 7,25 €.

I sent you the link to the new installation as well as back-end access so you can test it.

You can easily reproduce the bug, even in a fresh install. That's what I did to exclude a fault on our end.

Whatever I do, It's working fine on my end with the "Auto select default shipping and payment methods" and the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option set to YES.
Note that I'm using the lastest Hikashop version, can you download it through our website, install it and test it again ?
