-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.4
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.30
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 45.0.2454.101 m

I have configured several shipping cost items:
- 5,00 as long as the total summary is below 100 EUR
- 0 if the total summary is more than 100 EUR
- 15,00 express
I have a discount (type coupon) of 15%.

here is the problem:
my cart is > 100 EUR, so i have the ability to choose free shipping cost (alternative 2 from the list above).
As soon as I enter the code for the coupon, the system does not allow to choose free shipping cost any more. the system charges me for shipping cost even if the total summary is still higher than 100 EUR.
Is this a bug or is this a feature?

best regards,
Bernhard

Hi,

It's a feature.
It actually depends on the "include virtual products price" setting of your shipping methods.
If you have it turned on, the products with no weight and the coupons will be taken into account.
If you have it turned off, only the products with a weight will be taken into account.

thanks for the quick reply.
ok. its a feature.
But I don't understand (yet) how it works.

I guess with "taken into account" you mean that the price of the product is relevant for the calculation of the overall cart summary (which is responsible for availability of shipping methods).

I want that each product is considered for calculation of the shipping cost - independent from it's weight.
In order to get this I will have to turn on the "include virtual products price" setting of all my shipping methods. Is this correct so far?

As soon as I have turned on the "include virtual products price" setting for all my shipping methods, all shipping methods will consider all coupons. Is this correct so far?

But why does the consideration of a coupon (e.g. 15% off) mean that the customer has to pay shipping cost - even if he is far above the limit for receiving cost-free shipping?

Hi,

That's correct.
The coupon value is considered when you activate that option as this was something requested by some merchants.
Ideally, the best would be to have a second option specifically for the coupon value to be taken into account or not.
But we already have a lot of options and didn't want to clutter too much the interface and decided that requiring all the products to have weight if you want to take into account all the products but not the coupons shouldn't be that much of a problem to circumvent if necessary.

Unfortunately my last question is not answered.
In order to consider the price of all products (even with no weight) I have to turn on the"include virtual products price" setting for all my shipping methods.
As soon as I have turned on the "include virtual products price" setting for all my shipping methods, all shipping methods will consider all coupons.

But why does the system not offer me the cost-free shipping method (even if the overall price is far above the limit for receiving cost-free shipping)?

Hello,

If the total price is above the "minimum price" option of your shipping method, you should have access to the free shipping method. Can you give more information through some screenshots of the way you configured your shipping method, and of what you have on you cart during your checkout workflow ?
Thanks.

Hi,
I updated to HikaShop 2.6.0 and the latest tests seem to be ok.
Let me check the next days and I will post again (independant if positive or negative)
