Hello,
Can you show me through some screenshots how did you configured your Australia Post shipping method ?
Thanks.

Hello,
I just tested it on my end and it worked fine, your issue is probably coming from your Australia Post account, the best solution will be to directly ask them about that issue to be sure that your account is ok.

I too have this message after receiving the warning that the old AU post plugin is deprecated, and that I should now be using the new V2 version. I noticed the original poster of this thread mentions API's although I cannot find any reference to API's in the documentation. It may be useful, for example to tell people how we can use the plugin, not just assume that everyone will know. If this plugin requires API's to make it work, either include these in the hikashop, or tell us how we go about getting the API to use the plugin.

Hi

Use the following link to generate API
developers.auspost.com.au/apis/pacpcs-registration

Thank you that worked, just a caution, I couldn't get the site to respond when using IE, but when I used Firefox, everything worked perfectly.

I am also having ongoing issues with this problem. I currently have an open support ticket and Mohamed is still looking into it.

I first used the link supplied by Sarab603 above and got an API. This didn't work at all - I just got an error message saying there was no shipping method available. However Mohamed tested it and said that it worked for him.

I have just signed up for a developer's account and have generated a new API from within that area. This time when I used it I get the "Sorry, you are not authorised to use this service." message.

However, on the Aust Post dashboard I note there is another possible step mentioned under "Services".

"To prevent abuse, Australia Post places limits on API requests.
Using a valid API key allows you to exceed anonymous limits by connecting requests back to your project.
Please note that you must be registered for the Shipping and Tracking API in order to manage services."

I'm not sure if this is required also but I am now pursuing that possibility.

Luckily the old plugin is still working, so I'll be sticking with that until this is all sorted.

Mohamed is currently on holiday and will be back next week. He will continue the work on that issue of yours next week.

Thank you for your understanding.

No problem. I understand it is an "important" holiday so best wishes to him.

The version 1 is still working fine for me so I'm happy to stick with that. I suspect this may be some Australia Post issue anyway and I haven't heard back from them yet (and it wouldn't surprise me if I never do).

Hello and sorry for the late reply !

Regarding the "Sorry, you are not authorised to use this service" error message, the best solution will probably to directly ask it to Australia Post, I already sent them an email regarding issues that some of our customers are having so I'm waiting for there reply.

Best regards,
Mohamed.

Also might be worth checking something Mohamed discovered that was causing this message to occur on my site. I am only selling within Australia so I had unpublished the "address_country" custom field via "Hikashop->Display->Custom fields" .

This meant Australia Post didn't have any country to work with, so I was getting the "not authorised" message. Once that was enabled the error message went away.

Note though, the postage values it gave me were still wrong (that's apparently the grouping problem that Mohamed is still looking into). I'll be sticking with Version 1 for a while yet.

Thanks Mohamed, The link above worked. You need to supply an API number in the plugin to use it. Be aware that IE did not work properly on the AU post site, I had to use Firefox to generate the API.
