Gudday
I have been fiddled with the checkout workflow and am last getting somewhere.
At least I can now get to the next stage via the workflow checkout (see attachment).

Auspost V1 is asking for the user to enter a postcode, presumably their post code, but there is no place for the user to enter that information. I have following the instructions in the error message but cannot find the 'Display -> Custom Fields required' (see attachment).
I assume that I am to enter the Auspost V1 plugin but cannot seem to find the custom fields area.
I have entered my postcode in the specific config section (see attachment).

Somewhere I am missing something.

I am using V1 as I cannot get V2 to set up the workflow checkout.

Hello,
As it's said on the error message you should publish your "address_post_code" custom field via "Hikashop->Display->Custom fields".

Where do I find "Hikashop->Display->Custom fields"?
Attached is a screen shot of where in Hikashop I think I need to be but I cannot see "custom fields?

I have also attached my current checkout workflow.

Hello,
You are actually on the "System" menu, You need to go to the "Display" one.

I found that custom field eventually. I found it very vague as do I need to set up for my post code or the buyers? I could see how to see it up so I just may it required.
I no longer get that error message but my shipping step is blank. I have started a thread in shipping methods to talk of this.

Thank you.

Hello,
It's as I told you through your second thread : www.hikashop.com/forum/shipping-methods/...-buyer-postcode.html

Your issue is probably coming from the fact that you have no "address" action on your checkout workflow, you can add it via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".
After that, checking each step of the "Shipping methods" section of the FAQ will probably help you : www.hikashop.com/support/faq.html#ship

Why is registration or login required? If a buyer goes to my wife's site to buy a pattern I am not at all certain why they need to register? For a wholesaler or shop I can see the usefulness. Is it a Joomla or Hikashop requirement?

I have got further than last time. The former message is gone and replaced by another. See hikaregistration-1.png.

The settings for login/registration are shown is hikaregistration-2.png.

I found the info on setting up a guest account but could not find the checkout fields for "no registration" or "no login".

Maybe the starter edition of hikashop is too restrictive?

Hello,
1. To do what you want you'll need the "Registration" option which is available on commercial versions of Hikashop.

2. I just want you to add an "Address" action via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" on the same checkout workflow step as the "Shipping" one.

Hi,

Your registration is not allowed and we do not have any account in your website.
So we are not able to go further than the first step.

The step "shipping" is completely blank even if your screenshot indicates that there is an "address" block in that step.
That block is blank when the user is not logged and propose you to enter an adresse when you have an account.

So if you display the second step without being logged ; it is normal that you can't see anything.
Because you need to be logged, you need an account in order to have an address in order to see the available shipping methods.

Now it could be useful to not authorize your guest account to change the step and go to a further step without being logged.
But your issue is not "really" an issue ; you need to be logged to perform a checkout.
