Volume over weight

Hello,

I have some products that I have to put the volume (mainly are comunication racks). Those products, are the only one that have the volume put in their field, since it's important for the costumer to know, and also for the shipping. They also have the weight put.

That creates a bit of a problem for me. These products have to be shipped considering the volume and not the weight. Is there any way to do that? I know that shipping agencies they have a rule that changes volume to weight (for example, my shipping agency considers 270kg /m3). How can we do this without hikashop taking note on weight?

Hi,

When setting up a shipping method, you can set restrictions.
So you can create many shipping methods, each restricted on different volumes range and with a different price.

More than that, you can combine the volume and weight in the restriction rules.

I understand that, but I don't know if that solves the problem. Maybe I haven't explained myself ok. Let me put an example so I'm clear:

- I have this product. The volume is 800 x 1000 x 2204. The weight is 40kg. But actually, the shipping weight with that volume is 467kg.

- I add this, and I also add some other products, that only has weight. For example 250 meters of this:



So the first product has to be counted for volume (or as 467kg) and the second in weight, but both has to be sent together. Is there any way to solve this problem?
