-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3

HI hikacrew;

Yea, so now I'm having a problem with the Shipping method plugins.

Basically when trying to choose a Warehouse zone, I click the pencil icon, choose the country or state, click the OK button and instead of putting the country I chose in the Warehouse zone params , the popup just stays open and displays the ID and the countries name, and that it (see attachment) . The value doesn't get registered , even if I close the window (obviously).
Now I've checked the console and I'm not getting any errors either, so I can't help with any of that sort of info.
I have tried it in several browsers and even tried it on the first version I got with Joomla 3.4.4 with Hikashop 2.5.0 and I get the same problem.
any ideas on how to fix?

Thx.

Hello,
That's actually weird, can you try it with a different value on the "Popup mode" option that you can find via "Hikashop->System->Display" and test it again ?
If it's still not working, can you :
- Activate the Joomla debug mode ("Administration->Global configuration->System->Debug System/Language")
- Set the "error reporting" option of the Joomla configuration to "maximum"
- Test it again so that you can see if it display an error message which will help you to understand from what your issue is coming.

HI Mohammed;

Ok I tried what you suggested , but none of the popup worked - in fact it seemed like the modal never changed style either ( same gui : close button) but I'm not sure. All I am sure is that I get the same result no matter what I set it at.

BUT, the error reporting has proven useful. (Please see attachment)

Now I already have contacted the dev for that plugin and upon testing, we realized it wasn't just a problem with this plugin, as I tested the UPS plugin's warehouse zone and I get the same result. ( Just to eliminate that possibility).

Anymore ideas sir ?
;O )

Hi,

We, and no one else has a problem with the warehouse popup. So there must be something on your website.
Please provide a backend access with a link to this thread via our contact form:

Hi,

We got your access.
I've changed the "popup mode" setting to "vex" and as expected, it solves the problem:
take.ms/3eCpS

HI Nicolas;

First of all thank you for looking into it.
But unfortunately the problem persists as I'm not sure you tested the correct plugin.
The plugin where you have Warehouse section params is the UPS one. (see attached)

I've noticed in the code Squeezebox is hard coded into the onClick event of the EDIT anchor tag.
I tried simply removing it, but, of course, that didn't work.
So i guess my question is:
How can I get it to use VEX popup, please?

Hello,

Firstly, Note that the "Zone" option is a restriction to where you want your UPS warehouses to be used (exactly like the global "Zone" option under the "Restrictions" tab) .

So, if :
- You only need one UPS warehouse
- All your UPS warehouses have the same "Zone" restriction

You can directly use the global "Zone" option the "Restrictions" tab of your UPS shipping configuration page.

HI Mohamed;

Yea, sorry, but the problem with your work around is that it doesn't address my problem.

You see, the UPS plugin > Warehouse section > Zone edit,
works almost identically to this other plugin I have : Ed Canada post plugin by WyldCode,
where I have the exact same problem.

And I need it to work, as the plugin absolutely needs it in order to give me an accurate price.
I am in contact with WyldCode, but as the problem is also present in the UPS plugin, he claims it has something to do with Hikashop.
So I've been communicating with both him and you to get a solutions, but so far no luck yet !

Switching to the VEX popup didn't help because Squeezebox is hard-coded into the anchor tag of Zone > EDIT link.
So change it to VEX all you want , nothing changes.
I guess what would be nice is if the warehouse section > zone edit would be able to function using whatever popup you choose in Hikashop Configuration > Display > Popup settings (like all the others).
Or somehow get Squeezebox to work ?
It's a mystery why Squeezebox doesn't work for just that instance, as it works on all other Zone areas on the same page.

My guess is: Maybe the javascript is returning a string that Squeezebox cannot parse (instead of an object).
No sure... It just a wild guess, based on the output which appears to be a sting (in the popup)?? :unsure:

Help.

Hi,

I've given you a screenshot on a manual shipping method, but I tested on the UPS shipping method too on your website and it worked there too:
take.ms/bOj4h

And just in case you ask, it works with canada post too: take.ms/UBOtu

So I don't see why the popup doesn't work for you since it works for me on your own website...

HI Nicolas;

yes, I know the popup appears.
But did try and select a country and press OK ?

I never said the popup doesn't appear,
but the value you select in the popup doesn't get submitted after you press OK.

Hi,

Look at the screenshot I gave in my previous message and you'll see that I was able to select the country of the warehouse for UPS:
monosnap.com/file/920VtcFvdYnVeLqRI7nmCNqGNVfbSM
But I understand what you mean. It only doesn't work if you use the checkbox and then click OK. If you click on the name of the zone, it works. I've made a patch so that it works on both cases.

Hi Nicolas;

Thanks, I see how to do it now !!!!
And indeed, it does work that way.
I was following the standard procedure and overlooked that functionality.

Well, at least you know there a little bug there now.

Thanks for clearing that up.

V.
