Shipping Cost wrong for multiple item purchase

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.4
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.24

Hi,

It appears that if you purchase 2 different items, that the UPS Shipping module wants to ship them separately instead of together.

For example,

  1. Login as user:hikashop password:test at the My Account Pagewww.p3proswing.com
  2. Go to our Course Pack Category Page
  3. Add any course pack to your cart
  4. View your shopping cart
  5. Add a different course pack to your cart
  6. View your shopping cart

Note how it shows each item with potentially different shipping methods? First, this is not favorable as it increases the price processing each package separately. Second, these items should end up in the same box so the shipping increase should be minimal (put 2 of only the same course pack in a cart and you'll see. All these items are under a pound).

How can this be correct?

Group packages : If this option is activated, products will be grouped together. Otherwise, every product will have its own package (more expensive).

Hello,

If you have set the "Group package" option of your UPS shipping method to YES, then the UPS shipping method will automatically "group" every products in your order into the minimum number of package and then send that information to the UPS platform.

If the returned price is higher than you expected, note that the UPS plugin is only displaying rates returned by the UPS platform after it have correctly sent information about it to the UPS platform.

I just tested with the same setup as when this ticket was created and it seems to be working now. Was there an update that resolved this?

Yes probably.
Depending on your version, several shipping related fixes were probably added through the last version of Hikashop.
