Shipping cost don't reset when removing an item from the cart

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.5.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.11
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

Hello.

I use different shipping methodes depending on weight and volume of the chosen products.

When I place a little product in the cart that costs €0,83 to ship and than I add a big product to the cart that costs €6,95 to ship. Then the total shipping costs are €6,95 which is correct.

But when I remove the big product from the cart, the shipping costs should be €0,83, but it doesn't change. It stays on €6,95. What is going wrong here?

Have you any idea how to solve this?

Hello,

It's probably coming from the fact that you're using the old checkout workflow which doesn't dynamically reload every parts of your checkout.
The solution can be to set the "Checkout legacy" option to No, via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Advanced" and correctly configure your new checkout workflow.

Thank you for the response. The "Checkout legacy" was already set to No. And i'm using the new checkout workflow. But it doesn't reload the shipping price when i remove an item from the cart.

Do you have any other suggestions to fix the problem?

Hello,

I was not able to reproduce your issue. I added two products in the cart.
In the checkout cart (first step), I had a 3.32€ shipping ; when I removed one product, the cart refreshed with a 0.83€ shipping.

Hello Jerome,

That's very strange?? Every time I try it, it goes wrong.
When I put a "Strijkembleem" in the cart and go to the checkout cart, it shows €0,83 shipping costs.
Then I put a "Metaal plaat deluxe" into the cart and the shipping costs are €6,95.
Then when I remove de "Metaal plaat deluxe" the shipping costs stay at €6,95??

Could I send you admin login username and password so you can checkout in the backend??

Hello,

I performed two tests on two different browsers.
Please provide screenshots to illustrate your issue ; please be sure that you do not have extensive cache in your website AND browser and please provide a step by step workflow to let one personne of the support team reproduce the issue in your website.

Since we cannot see any issue and it's working fine during our tests ; I'm afraid that there is nothing to do in your backend.

Hello Jerome,

This is how I got the wrong shipping cost ('verzending' in dutch)

1) I selected from the category "Strijkemblemen" -> Tractor merken -> the John Deere embleem and put it into the cart.

2) I go to the cart with the button "Verder naar kassa" -> the shipping cost are €0,83 (see picture cart 1)

3) I selected from the category "Metaal Platen Deluxe" the "Open" plaat and put it into the cart.

4) I go to the cart with the button "Verder naar kassa" -> the shipping cost are €6,95 (see picture cart 2)

5) Then I remove the Metaal Plaat Deluxe from the cart and the shipping cost are still €6,95 (see picture cart 3)

The shipping cost should go back to €0,83, but it doesn't??

I've done this test over 20 times and every time I got the issue.

Hello,

Okay ; so it's a misconfiguration issue.

You have several available shipping methods in the same time.
When you add your second product, the first shipping method is not more available and it's another which is pick-up.
But when you remove that product, the selected shipping method is still available ; so it stayed selected.

So I suppose you didn't put weight restrictions for that one.

Hello Jerome,

Thanks to your help now I know why it wasn't working. It was indeed a misconfiguration issue. I didn't put the right volume restriction for the shipping methode. Everything works fine now.
