Hi,

I am shipping out a mixture of products, some heavy, some light. The heavy ones are books and I charge a flat rate for each book. So if you order 3 books, they are £10 delivery each, so you will pay £30. All books are the same delivery costs.

My issue comes when I want to add shipping costs for posters, the delivery costs are based on a fixed rate for unlimited amount, so if you order 1 poster it costs £10, and if you order 5 it is still a total of £10 shipping.

How can I manage this mixed set of shiiping methods?

Thanks.

Hello,

You can use weight restrictions and specify a very low value for your light products.

Thanks Jerome, does this mean I have to have weight related delivery for all products or just Posters?

Thanks

Hello,

does this mean I have to have weight related delivery for all products or just Posters?

It will actually depends on how you want your shipping methods to be used when you have for example 3 books + 5 posters in your cart ?
Can you give us more information about how you want you shipping methods to work based on every product type on your store ? Thank you.

Best regards,
Mohamed Thelji.

Thanks. I will only sell books with fixed cost delivery per book and Posters. There will be many type of posters and it does not matter if you order 2 xPosterA and 5 x PosterB or just one poster, you will still pay one fee as they all go in the same tube.

An example would be:

You make a single order:

3 x books (delivery is £20 per book) - Delivery is £60
3 x PosterA (delivery is one fee of £10) - Delivery is £10
2 x PosterB (You pay no delivery as it is included in the delivery cost of Poster B)

Total delivery is £70

I should aslo mention that there are three delivery zones around the world, UK, Europe, Rest of World which all have the same rules as above but have slightly different prices. I would like it so the customer chooses their address Country and then it shows the total delivery amount.

I am hoping Hikashop can support this type of shipping as everything else works well.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Hi,

Here is what you can do:
You create two warehouses, one for posters, one for books.
You select the corresponding warehouse in the products.
The then create two sets of shipping methods, one set for each warehouse.
Then, in the shipping method for the posters warehouse, you enter a price of 10.
And in the shipping method for the books, you activate the shipping price per product setting and enter a price of product of 20.
The system will then calculate the shipping fees like your example.
