I am getting email with the subject "USPS Web Tools APIs Retiring" from USPS and the say the following:

As announced in the February 6, 2025, Industry Alert, the USPS Web Tools API platform will be retired on January 25, 2026. To avoid service disruptions, you must migrate to the new USPS APIs as soon as possible.

Will you folks be updating the USPS shipping plugin, or adding a new one, that supports the new USPS APIs?

They are offering free biweekly USPS API Migration Webinars about this and what to do. If you are not aware of this, I can send you the information to join the next one.

Please let me know what your plans are for the USPS shipping plugin as we do rely on it.

Thank you.

Hi,

We were made aware of this a few weeks ago and I've added this high on our todo list:

We'll be developing a new plugin for the new API.
We're planning on developing a new plugin from scratch. It will be cleaner, and will allow us to support more features of the API.
I don't think we need to participate to a webinar. The documentation provided by USPS is clear, and much better than what they had before. I don't think we'll have a problem with it.
Plus, I've already taken the liberty to create an account on the developer portal and got the necessary credentials. So I don't see anything that would block us.
