I can't find a way to edit the "Tax namekey"

Under Hikashop> System > Taxes I can create tax categories and tax rates.

The name of the taxrate ("Tax namekey") is then used as a title in the checkout process. I managed to name my Tax Namekey to just "25%". So the customer could guess that this is the very common tax rate, but it doesn't say that. It's just a 25% surcharge of some kind.

But, I can't seem to edit this "Tax namekey" after it is created? Where do I do that?

Hello,
The solution will probably just be to create another tax rate or directly edit that tax rate name through your database.

I'll try that then. Thanks. I was worried the tax_namekey might be used as a key in a relationship.

I looked around in the tables and data. Taxenamekey is used in at least three places.

Table taxation has the field tax_namekey", so does the table tax.

In the table order_product there is a field called order_product_tax_info that has a lot of information about taxes in an array. Including tax_namekey.

This means I probably can't change it without causing something bad to happen.

Hi,

Yes if you change a tax namekey, you will need to edit the namekey in the other tables (if the tax has been used).
You can change it directly in the database. We did not allow the modification in the HikaShop backend due to the implications on older orders etc.

But if you do not have a lot of orders ; it is something you can do. Otherwise I recommend you the same thing than Mohamed told you : create a new one.
