We have the user group Wholesale and retailer. We need to add the tax fee if wholesale group checked out any products from our shop the tax fee is $5, if retailer group checked out any products from shop the tax fee is $10.

Hi,

When you configure tax rules via the menu System>Taxes, you can restrict each tax rule to some user groups thanks to the "user access" setting there. So just set two tax rules for two different tax rates and for the two different user groups and that will do it.

We have done like that only but it wont affect the tax fee in checkout..

We have assigned the default tax category to one user group. that tax fee not applied to checkout page.

Thanks

Hi,

Would it be possible to have more details ?
We do not see your configuration and we do not have any link to your website ; so like that it will be difficult for us to understand your issue and help you.

Hi,

Could we have screenshots of the options of your tax rules, of one of your product settings, of the issue on your frontend and a link to the product page so that we can try to reproduce the issue on your website if necessary ?

Hi,

For the product you gave in your pm you configured several prices with different quantities for the public and registered user groups.
So anonymous users (not logged in), and standard registered users (after login) will see these prices and the prices will change based on the quantity purchased.
And that works fine as far as I can see on your website.

Now you also set some prices for that product with a minimum quantity of 1 and a specific user group. So this means that regardless of the quantity purchased, the users from these user groups will get that price. If you also want quantity pricing for these user groups, then you should also add several prices with different minimum quantity like you did for public/registered users.

Also, if you login with a user that is both registered and in a wholesaler user group, he will actually see all the prices of the registered user group and the wholesaler user group. So make sure that this is not the case since you don't want that.

Finally, in your pm you say that you want a discount of 30% on all the prices for the wholesaler user group. In that case, it is way easier to setup than what you're trying to do. Instead of configuring different prices for different user groups, just have one set of prices (for the different minimum quantities) for all the user groups and then go in the menu Orders>Discounts and configure one discount of 30% and restrict it to the wholesaler user group. Then, all the prices will automatically and dynamically get the 30% rebate if you're logged in with a user attached to that user group, and even if you're also from the registered user group it won't matter.

Now you also asked about guest checkout. When you place an order as a guest, you're considered by the system as from the user group "public", always. So wholesaler will have to first create a user account on your website and you will first have to add them to their wholesaler user group so that they can benefit from the 30% discount.
Of course, once you're logged in, either as a registered user or a wholesaler user, you cannot guest checkout since you're already logged in a HikaShop doesn't show anymore the guest checkout form since it is not needed as you're already identified.

Hi,

I've checked the menu System>Taxes of your website.
There, you have configured only one tax rule and it is configured like this:
take.ms/40xeH
So, you can see that in the "access level" option, you selected "none", which means that this tax rule will never be used. You should instead select the user groups for which this tax rule should apply, as I had explained previously.

one more issue i just cannot figure out
when creating and order in the back end for a customer
i found this URL for creating the customer
mywebsite.com/administrator/index.php?op...l=user&task=edit&cid []=0

but i can only create the email and cant add the name

then my other issue once i have filled in all the fields for the order, how do i enter the cc information for payment, it seems like right now i can only create and invoice and not take the payment from the customer

Hi,

This link is only to create a "guest" customer, which doesn't have any name. If you do a guest checkout on your frontend checkout you also won't get the "name" field.
If you want to create a regular user with a name, you want to do it via the Joomla user manager.

If you want to take the payment from the customer, you shouldn't do the order from the backend but from the frontend and go through the regular checkout. At the end of the checkout, you'll be able to pay the order.
