Tax not showing in cart

I have reviewed all the information on this page ( www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/3...ion-listing.html#faq ) and I can't get the sales tax to show up in the cart.

The tax was showing up when users were logged in, but now the tax never shows.

Also, in an attempt to fix the problem, I set the "main tax zone" option of the configuration to United States of America, and now I can't delete it. I added United States of America to the default tax rule and still no tax shows up.

All my products and orders should have the same tax rule (8% tax). I've spend 2 hours trying to fix this. Please help. Thanks!

UPDATE: Looks like I fixed the problem by setting "Cumulative tax" to "Yes" in SYSTEM>TAXES

I don't know what "Cumulative tax" means, and this was not mentioned as one of the things check in this article ( www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/3...ion-listing.html#faq ).

Thanks for your reply. Actually I only have one tax rule set up. I don't understand why switching to "Cumulative tax" fixed the problem.
