Hello

I tried to setup taxcloud and do not found the taxcloud plugin in the joomla plugin manager.
Is there a way to download the plugin?

Thank you

Hi,

If you take a look at our changelog :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...ashop-changelog.html
You will see that the first version of the taxcloud plugin has been introduced in HikaShop 2.3.0

So, because you're using HikaShop 2.2.2 ; you do not have that plugin.

Hi Jerome

I updated hikashop business 2.6.1 and setup taxcloud setup as suggested.
The setup at taxcloud is fine.
Unfortunately the tax are not found in the checkout nor in the backend.
Do I need to setup tax rules? Maybe I miss something.
Please advise

Thank you

Hi,

No. The TaxCloud plugin overrides the tax rules. There is no need to set any tax rule.
If you don't see taxes, it's that there must be a problem with the settings of the TaxCloud plugin.
Could you provide a screenshot of its settings ?

Hi,

Do you have assign a TaxCloud TIC in the product ?
Does the test user have a valid address in the US ?

Looking at that screenshot - what is the 'use origin address on override' setting?
From a tax geek perspective, this seems like a dangerous setting, and should always be set to NO. TaxCloud knows where and when origin sourcing rules apply automatically. So, the first thing I would suggest is to change that setting.
Also: your shipping TIC should be set to either 11010 or 11000 - please review our documentation for the distinctions.
You can also call us or email us - if you have any questions we can help with, we would be honored to help.
Thanks for choosing TaxCloud!

One other note: TaxCloud no longer requires a valid USPS web tools ID because we stopped relying upon the USPS (because their servers are not reliable enough), so TaxCloud has ingested the entire USPS dataset (and several other very large address datasets) and we are doing the address validation locally now. We recommend using a syntactically valid but fictitious USPS ID of "000CLOUD0000" just in case some other mechanism is checking syntax.

Hi,

@TaxCloud:
The "use origin address on override" setting allow the merchant to use its own address as shipping address when the customer selects a shipping method with the "override shipping address" setting activated (which usually means that the customer comes at the merchant address in order to pickup his order).

@Scheinbacher:
A Jerome said, the address might not be valid. Click on the "trigger" link of the check address option so that the address is checked against the TaxCloud servers.

Thank you for your help.
The tax calculation working now. I have recognized that there is a mixup of the zones, state = country.
