We're in the process of switching back to Taxcloud from Avalara for a variety of reasons, but we're running into a problem right off the bat. While we're correctly getting tax rates in our checkout process on Hikashop, we don't appear to be sending an authorize/capture API call to Taxcloud when the order is completed.

We opened a ticket w/ Taxcloud and they agree and recommended we ask here.

We're not running any plugins that should affect the checkout process that we're aware of.

Payment is Paypal Pro only currently.

We do change order status from the standard "confirmed" but only after the fact, so the order does move into the expected confirmed state once completed.

Since this has never worked on any recent deployment, we're not 100% sure where to begin troubleshooting here. It appears Taxcloud has changed significantly since we last used it.

[EDIT: Worth noting we are also running HikaMarket 3.0.2, if that matters]

Hi,

Go in the menu System>Order statuses. There, in the column "invoice" you need to make sure that the "confirmed" status is enabled AND that the status of the order before it's confirmed is not enabled.
The plugin will send the AuthorizeWithCapture call to TaxCloud only when an order's status is changed from a status not enabled in that column to a status enabled in that column.
That's the only reason I can think of. HikaMarket shouldn't be a problem for the TaxCloud plugin.

Got it, all those options are apparently new-ish and few of them were set. Thanks!
