Have a bundled product that consists of products with and without tax.

Have calculated the tax free and tax included value.

So the Price and the Price with tax are different

If I choose Tax category as Default or None it matters not as the number entered in either price box gets put into the other box.

Ok here goes

The Price is $18.09
The Tax included price is $19.09
Default tax is set at 10%

In the image below I enter the Price as $18.09 and automatically the price with the tax is identical

I try the reverse and enter the Tax Included price and the Price becomes the same

As a result on save it looks like this which is totally incorrect

The front end as a result, either way, shows incorrect information on check out.

Forgot to say the settings on this site are identical to another that is selling identical products without these issues.
Why I'm at a total loss as to what is driving this.

Hope that explain things a bit clearer

Hi,

To me, this looks like you didn't configure a tax rule for your Default tax category in the System>Taxes menu.
Could you check there what you have ?
If you have a tax rule there, could you provide a screenshot of its settings ?
Also, could you provide a screenshot of the settings under the Taxes section of the HikaShop configuration page ? These can also influence which tax rule will be enforced.

Hi,

You set a post code in your tax rule.
This means that only the users with an address entered, and with the post of that address being 3550 will have the prices of the products taxed.
So, for users of your website who didn't provide yet their address, or with an address not in Australia, or not with that post code, they won't see the prices taxed.
I think that's a bit restrictive. You probably want to remove the post code from the tax rule so that it applies to all the users in Australia.

This one is a bit of a saga.

Post code removal resolved one issue but have what was the original issue.

I am bundling 5 items that can be purchased individually.
Some have additional tax some have no tax.

Whether I create the bundle manually or I create a bundled product the price is never correct.
Items 1-3 are no tax and items 4 and 5 have tax.

How do I enable the Price and Price + Tax to appear correctly?

What I need to appear is
Price = $84.95
Price + Tax = $87.35

Whether I create a manual bundled product or build a bundled product I have the same issue. Price over rides Price + Tax or vice versa

Resolution remains elusive :unsure:

Hi,

There are two ways to go about it:

1. If you add these products as "bundled products" in another product, then you need to provide a price in that other product. And the tax will be calculated based on the tax category of this product and its price.
So, you could create a special tax rate with a special tax category and a special tax rule to link them together so that the tax amount would be 87.35 - 84.95.

2. Another option would be to add these products as "options" of another product. Then, you could do a view override of product / option in the menu Display>Views and change the line:
if($selectionMethod != 'check')
to:
if(false)
This way, on the product page, you would have 5 options, one per option product, with only one preselected choice for each option.
The total price would be calculated automatically from the price of each option product, and same for the taxes.
So that seems ideal for what you want to do.
