wishlist does not work

I've got two problems and one question:
One with checkout (I have made a seperate topic for that).
One with the wishlist (listed here).
And one question regarding the categorylist. I will also make a seperate item for that.

I tried everything, but I can't get the wishlist working.
I thought of buying the german book. Maybe that could give some information.
But I am afraid it does not cover my problem.

I have tried to follow your tutorial "Using wishlist and carts". But i get confused between instructions for the administrator and instructions for the user. Anyway I had the wishlist in the sidebar and that did not work.
It said it had some products in the wishlist, but you could not view them. And the products still stayed in the cart.
Also I only see the add to cart option with a product and not the add to the wishlist option.

I changed the postion of the wishlist to cart. And that did niet work also.

I fewel I am going around in circles and nit getting at a solution.

Can you give us a screenshot of you configuration regarding the wishlist in Configuration > Features > Wishlists ?

In the display part of the config do you have enabled the display of the wishlist button ?

Yes the display of the wishlist button is enabled.
For the configuration see att. 1
For a screenshot of the wishlist see att. 2

It says it has products in the wishlist, but as you can see there is nothing.

And on your website I am not able to see the wishlist module. Does it require to be logged in ? If it is thanks to give us a test account.

The wishlist module issue seems to be a cache issue, if you have any cache enabled, thanks to disable it in the Joomla configuration, Joomla plugin, etc.

For the button, is the option "Display 'Add to wishlist' button" in Configuration > Display > Default parameters for "products" enabled ?

Cache in system was disabled. I don't see any cache items elsewere.
The display add to wishlist button was also enabled.
So I don't think this is the problem.

Do you have edited views ? Like "product / show_quantity" ?
If it is, thanks to backup your views, and remove the modifications by clicking on the dustbin in the views listing.

If you mean all the items were there is a dustbin if you look at:
www.chridiem.eu/administrator/index.php?...m_hikashop&ctrl=view
then there are a lot of items with a dustbin, but not the one you mentioned.
As I believe most of this modifications are necessary to configure hikashop to your own needs, I don't think i should remove them.

There was indeed a mistake in the view "product / quantity" to show the wishlist button, this is an error from us.
I have corrected it on your end and it will be updated on our end for the next releases.

Regarding the wishlist module displaying items that should not be there I was not able to reproduce the issue, so I guess it was just a session issue, you can try on another browser and you hsould not be able to reproduce it.

It seems that I have the same issues. The wishlist button appear, and when you press it the pop-up shows 'An error occured'. But the product is added to the wishlist.

I played with the cache but this doesn't make a difference.

Please advise.

I don't think it is exact the same problem because I didn't get an error message.
In my case I could see the wishlist on the sidemenu and it said it had items. But it showed nothing when you clicked on it.
And setting items from wishlist to cart vice versa did not work.

If it is the same probblem, then you have to ask Xavier to fix it for you, because it was due to a bug in the system.

Which version of HikaShop do you have ? And have you edited any views related on the wishlits / carts ?

Yes, you are right I was a little to eager to post the problem I'm having at this thread. Latest version 2.3.2, installed on July 24th. Nope, I didn't make any changes to the sources of views. Of cause, I fiddled with the various options. For now I switched off the pop-up so the problem does not occur.

But I also had the problem with viewing the contents of the wishlist on one of the side-bars. So, I disabled this as well. That is why I posted the problem here. Because maybe there is/was a relation.
