Hello all I am new hikashop I just download the install and it appears the installation does not work as described and when I looked at the actual zip file the files do not appear to have been arranged in accordance to how Joomla packages are suppose to be arranged. If someone can please assist it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

The package we provide on our website is a standard joomla package. I invite you to follow our documentation page explaining how to download and install it: www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentation/59.html

Thank you. I think there can be an issue with zip files depending on the operating system the joomla install is on because it relies on the OS to decompress. So I installed from a directory after I decompressed.

Yes.

We chose to use zip for our packages because it is easier for beginners trying to open the package on their computer.
When the install doesn't work, often, the solution is indeed to install from a directory. That's what we tell our users in the documentation page I posted earlier. And so far, everyone was able to install.
