Search for "product code" does not show variants

Hello,

I enabled the search module "product code". This module works only with the "product code" of the main product, does not work with the "product codes" variants (the results are not displayed)

I need to be searched also the codes of the variants, how can I do?

not working properly

if I try the product code (eg 499045201/2) the layout is perfect.
if instead seeking the variant code (eg. 499 045 202) the result is very bad and not usable. also do not see the link to the product

You didn't enter any name or description in that variant.
You can edit it via the "manage variants" button of the product edition screen to add that.

Hi,

A product (main or variant) must have a product code which will be unique.
So you can't read it from the main product if not specified because it will be specified.

You have to use a similar product code in the variants so while searching the main product code, it will found the variants too.

I have a product with variants, which have variant names, descriptions and similar variant codes, but in search result not found when i searched based on these parameters.
I use standard joomla search plugin.
How to resolve this?

Hi,

Do you have enabled the option "search variants" of the HikaShop products search plugin ?
Could you give us an example of main product code and a variant one, and the search you have done ?

ps: more details about your hikashop version could be good too :)
