Any way to have a stand alone characteristics?

By "stand alone" I mean it works by itself price wise. This characteristics alone can decide how much the price will change for the product.

The reason i need this is I have quite a few characteristics for one product, and each characteristics has a few options, so together they will generate 20-30 variants which makes managing them very difficult.

I was thinking of the "option" but after installing the essential version, i found it is not for this purpose but instead adding other "products" or "accessories" to this product.

If all yours variants have the same price, you can create an "option product", this product will have characteristics. Change the price of each characteristic.
Then in the main product, add this option product and this will allow to select the correct variant with a price defined.

But the price defined in the option product will be the same for all the products.
