Hi,
I currently have my site on Joomla 2.5 and would like to migrate to 3.2 with a responsive template.

I'd like to fully re-install the same site with a fresh Joomla install and restore my Hikashop configuration and content (users, stats, orders, ...)
What is the best way to proceed ?
Thanks

Hi,
Make sure that the version of HikaShop that you have on your old website is compatible with Joomla 3.2.
Then, copy the tables of HikaShop from your old website to the new website (all the ones with hikashop in their name).
Make sure that your Joomla 3.2 website has the users from the one website already in it with the same user IDs (so that they still have the same referenced id in HikaShop).
Then, do an install of the same version of HikaShop on your Joomla 3.2 website.
Finally, copy the folder media/com_hikashop from your old website to your new website.
You should then have everything you need on your new website for HikaShop.

Thanks Nicolas for your answer.
Could you please develop :

Make sure that your Joomla 3.2 website has the users from the one website already in it with the same user IDs (so that they still have the same referenced id in HikaShop).

I have many users registered in Joomla (I suppose they are identical to Hikashop ones).
How do I retreive these users. Is it a simple Joomla table copy ?

PS : those users are also referenced in Acymail with Hikashop connection.
Will I retreive also these users ?

PS : it would be fine to have a configuration export in Hikashop.

Hi,

A configuration export of HikaShop won't help keeping the synchronization between HikaShop and Joomla, or between AcyMailing and Joomla. Your problem is elsewhere.

A simple way to unsure that you keep the synchronization between the users of Joomla and their reference in extensions is that you do it like that:
docs.joomla.org/J3.3:Upgrading_from_an_existing_version
instead of using a user export/import tool from the old website to the new website. Because in such cases, the import process often recreates the user records on the new website with different ids than the user records on the old website.
So do an upgrade of your old website (or a copy of it) and then work from there. In fact, if you directly upgrade the old version instead of transferring the data from the old website to a new website, you don't need to do anything with HikaShop or AcyMailing as long as their version are compatible with your new version of Joomla.
