I'm new to the Hika forum. I have a task that involves data migration. I have to import data from an existing legacy mysql db into a hika db. My question, the products table (among others) contains fields which I am unsure what exactly they're meant to store. If someone on the forum can lend a hand, I would be very grateful.

Hi

1--- play with the hikashop demo website
The demo give access to frontend ( with user defualt account ) and backEnd with default admin account .

2-- Your post in general section there is a specific section for import export so many things to read

3-- The documentation give also some information about import export
so go to documentation
The web page is beautiffull but not efficient for a documentation . You have to clik of each icon to make appear the list of item .... AND the list of 3 item link on top is only a slide to the same page .
if you clik to item A you ll see the list of link that attach to A . . if you click on item B you ll see the already click item + the item B . so to view al lthe item at once you have to click on all the icon .
So best is click without quit the page to all icoin to have all the links searchable by Ctrl F( ind) .
Best is use another

A .... links like this one that let you use Ctr F (ind ).
B ... the search input fields locate on the same page

Hikashop is really great ...

Hi,

@senor_mike : Please post your questions about the fields, it will be easier to answer you.

@lionel75 : it is very nice to try to help. But don't worry, we will handle it as we always do ; even if it's week end.
You don't need to copy past the full documentation page in the forum. If you have some suggests to make about that page, please open a thread.
